The Board of Fire Commissioners is responsible for governing the operations of the District. The board is generally responsible for the following areas:

Paid staff includes a Fire Chief, three Company Officers, and three Firefighter/EMTs. A full-time District Secretary and a part-time Office Assistant handle bookkeeping and office administration. Three part-time EMS practitioners provide Community Assistance, Referral, and Education Services (CARES) outreach to the community (funded by a grant from Olympic Community of Health).
