Medicare Information

The Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner offers free assistance to people with their Medicare questions and options. Assistance is coordinated through the Statewide Health Insurance Benefits Advisors (SHIBA) program. SHIBA is a statewide network of trained volunteers who educate and advocate for people of all ages who have Medicare. SHIBA counselors help you understand your rights and Medicare insurance choices. They do not sell anything. As part of the Office of the Insurance Commissioner, SHIBA volunteers and services are unbiased.
